Editorial Policy & Fact-Checking Standards
Last updated: April 19, 2026
AlphaEdge is an independent financial news and analysis publication. We cover U.S. and global equity markets, macroeconomic developments, and investment strategy for serious investors. Because financial content directly affects readers’ economic decisions, we hold ourselves to the highest standards of accuracy, transparency, and editorial independence.
1. Editorial Mission
Our mission is to deliver timely, data-driven market analysis that helps investors make informed decisions. Every article we publish—whether a morning update, end-of-day wrap, weekly summary, or individual stock thesis—is grounded in verifiable data from authoritative sources and shaped by professional analytical judgment.
2. Authorship & Qualifications
All articles are written by Georgi Kuzmanov, Senior Equity Analyst & Founder of AlphaEdge. Georgi holds a Master of Science in Financial Engineering from Columbia University (2011–2013) and has over 13 years of professional experience in quantitative finance, equity research, and portfolio analysis.
Every article carries a clear byline with the author’s name, title, and a link to their full profile page, which details their education, credentials, and professional background.
3. Sourcing Standards
We rely exclusively on primary and authoritative data sources:
- Market data: Real-time and closing prices from regulated exchange feeds, including Alpha Vantage, Financial Modeling Prep, and Yahoo Finance.
- Economic data: Federal Reserve Economic Data (FRED), Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA), and other U.S. government statistical agencies.
- Company fundamentals: SEC EDGAR filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K), company investor relations pages, and earnings transcripts.
- Rates & fixed income: U.S. Treasury Department, Federal Reserve, and CME Group (FedWatch tool).
- News & events: Wire services (Reuters, AP), major financial outlets (Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, CNBC, Financial Times), and official government/central bank communications.
We do not use anonymous tips, unverified social media posts, or single-source rumors as the basis for any factual claim. When citing analyst ratings or price targets, we attribute them to the specific firm.
4. Fact-Checking Process
Every article undergoes the following verification steps before publication:
- Data verification: All numerical data—stock prices, index levels, economic releases, yield figures, commodity prices—are pulled directly from primary data APIs at the time of writing. We do not round, estimate, or extrapolate market data.
- Cross-referencing: Key figures are cross-checked against at least two independent data sources when possible (e.g., Alpha Vantage bulk quotes cross-referenced with FMP index quotes and FRED economic series).
- Contextual accuracy: Historical claims, percentage changes, and comparative statements are computed from raw data, not recalled from memory. Week-over-week, month-over-month, and year-over-year comparisons use precise date-aligned data points.
- Narrative consistency: Before publishing any article, the author reviews the two to three most recent AlphaEdge articles to ensure factual and analytical continuity. We do not contradict our own prior reporting without explicitly noting changed circumstances.
- Technical review: Structured data markup (JSON-LD), meta tags, and internal links are validated to ensure search engines receive accurate article metadata.
5. Editorial Independence
AlphaEdge operates independently. We do not accept payment for coverage, sponsored content disguised as editorial, or any form of “pay for play” arrangements. Our revenue comes from organic readership, not from the companies or securities we cover.
- No company, broker, fund, or financial institution has editorial input into our articles.
- We do not accept gifts, travel, or compensation from companies we cover.
- Analyst ratings and price targets cited in articles reflect the views of the issuing firm, not AlphaEdge.
6. Conflicts of Interest & Disclosure
Every article includes a standardized disclosure statement at the bottom. The author may hold positions in securities mentioned in articles. When this is the case, the disclosure is prominently displayed. We believe transparency about potential conflicts, rather than avoidance of all positions, best serves our readers.
AlphaEdge does not engage in front-running. Publication timing is driven by market hours and editorial schedules, not by trading activity.
7. Opinion vs. Fact
We clearly distinguish between factual reporting and editorial opinion. Data tables, scoreboard sections, and economic release summaries present verified facts. Sections labeled “The AlphaEdge Take,” “The AlphaEdge Outlook,” or “Prediction” contain the author’s professional analysis and forward-looking views, which are inherently subjective.
Forward-looking statements, price predictions, and scenario analyses are clearly identified as such and are not guarantees of future performance.

9. Not Financial Advice
AlphaEdge content is for informational and educational purposes only. Nothing published on this site constitutes personalized investment advice, a recommendation to buy or sell any security, or an offer to transact. Readers should consult a qualified financial advisor before making investment decisions. Past performance discussed in our articles is not indicative of future results.
10. Corrections & Updates
We take errors seriously. If we publish inaccurate information, we correct it promptly and transparently. For details on how we handle corrections, please see our Corrections Policy.
